Welcome to Nanolia information
Anti Graffiti PROTECT MATT
Nanolia Anti Graffiti PROTECT topcoat is a two-component, transparent matt sealing coat based on chemical nanotechnology. It can be used on a variety of surfaces. Nanolia Anti Graffiti PROTECT provides outstanding weather resistance, gloss retention over many years and prevents the fading of the underlying colour. Sealed surfaces can be cleaned without the use of special cleaning agents, using just a small amount of water. This "easy-to-clean" property actually assists the long-term nature of the material’s graffiti protection. Colour smudges are not absorbed through the sealed surface and leave no lasting damage. Attacks with various products favoured of vandals can be easily removed with Nanolia Graffiti Cleaner liquid or gel leaving no residues and without affecting the protective layer. We are happy to advise you in detail about the various cleaning options.
Nanolia Anti Graffiti PROTECT can be used on aluminium (treated or untreated), stainless steel, brass, copper, magnesium, ceramics, CSF and mineral surfaces such as marble and granite. Surfaces previously treated with other coatings are refreshed, sealed and permanently protected. Note: For uncoated porous mineral surfaces we recommend the use of Nanolia Anti Graffiti NanoCrete
Features:
- Permanent "easy-to clean" finish

Preparation for Application
Always test a small sample to ensure that the desired result is achieved before proceeding with the main project. If in doubt, do not proceed.
Surfaces must be thoroughly clean and dry, fat-free and free of loose material. Nanolia Anti Graffiti protective coating is designed to seal non-porous or previously-coated surfaces. We recommend the use of a high-quality emulsion paint as an undercoat to provide the desired final colour. (e.g. SIKKENS Alphacaso). The undercoat must be completely dry before coating with Nanolia Anti Graffiti topcoat. Nanolia Anti Graffiti topcoat bonds permanently and irreversibly with the underlying colour layer.
Even though Nanolia Anti Graffiti topcoat is very thin and almost invisible, we recommend that you create test panels to check any changes that it may make to the surface appearance, in particular colour, before proceeding with the actual job. It may be necessary to use a slightly different undercoat if a specific final colour is required.
Application:
Apply undiluted. The ambient temperature and that of the material to be treated must be above 5 ° C. Best results are obtained between 15°C and 25°C. Do not apply in direct sunlight or surfaces where the temperature is rising. High humidity after application accelerates the drying process.
Body and hardener should be mixed in the ratio 5.5: 1 and stirred in. It is recommended that the mixture be allowed to rest for about 15 minutes after addition of the curing agent. The maximum usable time is approximately 4 hours. Even though the mix may look unchanged for as much as 24 hours, it is no longer usable after that time. Close the container where the hardener is located immediately after having removed the required amount.
Application can be done with a fine-pored foam roller, using smooth and even strokes. It is important to note that "less is more" in application. For best results, the coating should be applied thinly. The surface should be coated completely with Nanolia anti graffiti topcoat without leaving any gaps. Avoid applying too thick a layer order because a yellowish flecked appearance might appear.
Foreign bodies included during the drying process (insects, etc...) can be polished away after drying. Touching up is possible at any time within 24 hours of the first application.
After application, chemical resistance and surface hardness increase steadily over a period of several days and the process is complete after a drying time of 7-10 days.
The equipment used can be cleaned with commercial thinner.
The application process is dependent on the surface to be treated. We will be pleased to advise on request.
