Welcome to Nanolia information

NANO Glass/Ceramic Protect

Nano-Glass/Ceramic Protect is a two component, long lasting protective coating for glass, ceramic and mineral based surfaces. The coating is an extra-thin, almost invisible, ultra-violet resistant and non-yellowing protective surface. Surfaces which have been treated are far easier to clean (a wipe-over with a damp cloth is sufficient; there is no need for a cleaning product). The adhesion of any new dirt or soiling is drastically reduced by virtue of the oil and water resistant properties. Water is simply pearled-off, taking dust and dirt with it.

Nano-Glass/Ceramic Protect is suitable for all kinds of glass and ceramics (window panes, bath tubs, toilets, tiling, windscreens, winter-gardens etc.). This product may also be used as a sealing agent for marble or granite.

Nano-Glass/Ceramic Protect has a long-lasting effect (without any subjection to friction, more than 3 years). We can offer you the one component, “easy-to-use” version Nanolia-Clear with reduced performance and durability. We can highly recommend Nano-Glass/Ceramic Pro for best performance.

Properties:

Water, dust and dirt simply pearl-off

        “Easy-to-clean” effect

Soiling is washed off without the use of commercial cleaning products

Anti-graffiti effect when used on marble or granite

No clouding of the surface or reduction of reflective properties

Ice/frost formation can be very easily scraped –off

        Insects can be easily removed

        Drastically reduced chalk deposits

May be used indoors or outdoors

Long-life effect (without any subjection to friction, more than 3 years)

        Resistant to chemicals and solvents

Highly efficient coating capacity, economical in amount of product required

May be renewed at any time

Technical Data:

Silane solution with hydro- and oleophobic catalyst.

Application:

Always test a small sample to ensure that the desired result is achieved before proceeding with the main project. If in doubt, do not proceed.

Use undiluted. Do not use at a temperature under 5°C. Do not use in direct sunlight. When using indoors, be certain that there is adequate ventilation at the working place. The surface to be coated must be completely clean and free from fats/oils. The effectiveness and life-span of the finished coating is highly dependent on the preparation of the surface. We recommend to you the use of  Nanolia-Glass polish to prepare the surface. After the surface to be treated has been cleaned it should be thoroughly rinsed-off using clear water and left to dry.

Mix the component A with component B in the proportions 1:1 (by volume). Using a fuzz-free cloth, apply the product to the surface evenly and immediately polish-off to a smooth surface free of “striping”. If the surface has “striping”, due to the application of a too thick coating of the product, this may be polished-out by the use of a cloth soaked in alcohol. The protective effect of the product starts after only a few minutes and continues to increase further over the next few days. To increase the adhesion and the resistance against frictional forces, a subsequent thermal-treatment may be employed at a temperature of 220°C for 20 minutes.  The container with the original product should be securely closed and sealed immediately after use. In the event of a reduction in efficiency, a new coating can be applied at any time. Following the mixing procedure the finished coating solution is able to be used for about 24 hours. Details in the application vary depending upon the surface which is to be coated. We are happy to advise you fully in these cases.

Cleaning:

Treated surfaces are easily cleaned, without the use of commercial cleaning products. The first step is to wipe off the dust/dirt/soiling using a damp cloth. Then wipe-over using a dry cloth. Clouding or “striping” of the surface now cannot occur. Should the surface be cleaned using a commercial product containing tensides (surfactants), the resistant qualities will be temporarily reduced – this is easily brought back to the original level by rinsing thoroughly using plenty of clear water.

Consumption:

Depending entirely upon the surface to be treated, and the method used, about 100 m² can be treated with one litre of this product.
