Welcome to Nanolia information
Nanolia Powercoat
A one-component clear coating based upon chemical nanotechnology. Nanolia Powercoat offers a transparent and optically almost neutral coating for smooth, non absorbent surfaces. Sealed surfaces are easy to maintain without the need for special cleansing agents and are resistant to fresh soiling of the surfaces - the classic “easy-to-clean” effect. Fingerprinting and smearing are significantly reduced.
Used on metals Nanolia Powercoat coating offers long-life protection against corrosion. Nanolia-Powercoat coating is also highly resistant to mechanical and chemical invasion, due to its long lasting adhesion to the surface of the base material. Fully-dried surfaces are resistant to the effects of UV rays and are therefore ideal for use in outdoor locations.
Nanolia Powercoat is suitable for use on stainless-steel, chrome, aluminium, brass, copper and previously coated surfaces. I can also be used on gel-coat compasites where there is a need for protection against severe weathering.
Suitable as an Anti-Graffiti coating
Defacement by, for example felt-tip pens is resisted by the surface and is simply “pearled-off”. More adhesive paints can be easily removed using common solvents (e.g. Acetone), leaving no trace or indeed our own Graffiti liquid or gel remover.
Properties:
• Long lasting “easy-to-clean” final coating
• Optically almost neutrally, no gloss
• Protects against corrosion and oxidisation
• Extremely water- and oil-repellent
• “Anti-Graffiti” and “Anti-fingerprinting” capacity
• High productivity because of extremely minimum layer thickness
Limitations:
Nanolia Powercoat is not suitable for long term immersion in water. On white painted surfaces a yellowing can occur due to strong UV exposure.

Application:
Always test a small sample to ensure that the desired result is achieved before proceeding with the main project. If in doubt, do not proceed.
Apply at a temperature between +5 °C and +40 °C. Avoid direct sunlight. The surface should be cleaned (free from fats, polishes, waxes and surfactants), dry and free from dust and any fatty/oily materials. For cleaning purposes Nanolia- Graffiti liquid remover is advised.
Application is possible using the accepted methods (rolling, brush-painting, spraying or by immersion). To achieve the most successful surface HVLP Spray application is recommended. It can be applied alternatively with a roller or a lint-free cloth. Irregularities and striping of the surface can be corrected by the use of a PU-foam roller (using high pressure on the roller).
Please note that only a minimum surface thickness is needed !
Opened containers should be immediately closed/sealed. Should the contents, by the action of the atmosphere, become gelled, then the product is no longer able to be used.
After use, all utensils may be cleaned using normally available thinners. Details in application vary depending upon the surface to be coated. We are happy to advise you fully in these cases.
Consumption:
Depending entirely upon the surface to be treated, and the method used, about 50 - 60m² can be treated with one litre of this product.
