Welcome to Nanolia information

Nanolia WoodBoost

Nanolia-WoodBoost protects wood surfaces against the effects of weather and ultra violet rays, reducing bleaching and greying. It is an ideal first coating on raw wood surfaces or after treatment with Nanolia-Wood Fresh. Penetrating deep within the wood, WoodBoost enhances  the structure of the wood and controls moisture, eliminating signs of “wear and tear”. It may be mixed with wood dyes to achieve the desired finished colour. Water-based and free from biocides, WoodBoost meets German Regulation DIN EN 71-3 (Safety in use with toys) and is suitable for either indoor or outdoor purposes.

Nanolia-WoodBoost contains no hydro- or oleo-phobic additives and we therefore strongly recommend a further coating with Nanolia–Prodeck for complete protection.

Properties:

        A milky brown colour

        Colour additives available on request

        Easy to apply

Fibres remain “with the grain” and do not form an uneven “hairy” surface

Sealing effect which is resistant to the weather

Environmentally friendly, free from fungicides and biocides

Application:

Always test a small sample to ensure that the desired result is achieved before proceeding with the main project. If in doubt, do not proceed.

The surface to be treated should be dry and free from any fat/oil.  (Any remains of linseed oil can result in black flecking.) Do not use as a treatment after Nanolia-Prodeck. Do not work with the product at a temperature of less than 5 °C.

Do not dilute. Shake well. The two parts should be mixed completely. The moisture contents of the wood should not exceed 18%. Apply the product with a brush in a thin coating in two layers. After a drying period (dependant upon the moisture of the atmosphere and the absorption of the wood – a period of about 4 to 6 hours), the second coating may be applied. The longer the drying period, the more effective the protection. The intensity of the wood structure and the colour depend upon the method of application and it is therefore recommended to make a trial application. Make sure that the surface is completely dried when applying Nanolia-Prodeck afterwards. It may take several days to have a completely dry surface.

All working tools can be cleaned with water and detergent after use. Details in the application vary depending upon the surface to be coated. We are happy to advise you fully in these cases.
